CILT launches 25 subsidised Springboard+ funded places on its Higher Certificate in Logistics & Supply Chain Management for aspiring supply chain professionals

The Chartered Institute of Logistics & Transport Ireland (CILT) has launched their Higher Certificate in Logistics & Supply Chain Management aimed at aspiring new professionals to upskill or join the supply chain industry, which will be offered through three regional centres in Cork, Limerick, and Dublin from September. 

CILT Ireland, together with Springboard+ have 25 subsidised places for the Limerick and surrounding counties which are 90% funded for their Level 6 Higher Certificate in Business in Logistics and Supply Chain Management.

For those who have thought about the interesting and rewarding careers in these sectors but have been unsure how to go about entering the industry, need Look no further than our Higher Certificate. 

Brought to you by CILT Ireland and the Institute of Technology Carlow the Higher Certificate is a major award of 120 credits. Classes are held over two academic years in a blended environment by lecturers with many years of practical, industry experience. The course offers flexibility to learners with 70% delivery online and 30% delivery in class. The assessment is a combination of individual and team project work. CILT Ireland also understands that our students are mainly adult learners and the importance of a work / life balance during study.

The course is open to jobseekers, aspiring candidates, upskilling professionals as well as those wishing to pursue further study. It is hoped that this course will act as a launch pad, for those wishing to start, re-start or change their careers. This course is free for those working in the home or those in receipt of jobseekers benefit.

Mick Curran, CEO of the Chartered Institute of Logistics & Transport Ireland, commented: “we have seen the importance of world-class supply chain management practices recently with Brexit and the global pandemic.  It is critical we produce a pipeline of graduates with the necessary skills and understanding to succeed in this changing world.”
