With community at the heart of the Go-Ahead Ireland transport company’s operations comes their announcement of title sponsorship of Dublin GAA’s club adult leagues and championships including Football, Hurling and Camogie.

Sport is an integral part of the wellbeing of any community alongside young people, not just in Dublin but all over Ireland.

Go-Ahead Ireland’s partnership with Dublin GAA is all about working hand in hand to support the sports pathway and bridge between club and community.

Go Ahead Ireland is a leading public transport provider.

The company employs 600 people, operating 200 buses serving communities and commuter routes throughout Dublin.

Dublin GAA’s club adult leagues and championships include over 88 clubs and thousands of players participating in over 50 competition across all four codes.

Dublin GAA Commercial and Marketing Manager Tomás Quinn said:

“Dublin GAA are delighted to welcome Go-Ahead Ireland as our new adult club leagues and championships partner. We believe they are an excellent fit for our club competitions and we are proud to confirm it also includes the club ladies football and camogie adult leagues and championship competitions. By supporting the four codes in Dublin GAA, Go-Ahead Ireland have shown their commitment to all levels of our GAA clubs throughout the county”

As well as providing high quality public bus services, the team at Go-Ahead Ireland have been exploring how to engage even more directly in the communities they serve. Go-Ahead Ireland is firmly committed to sustainability and further growth in Ireland, and the partnership with Dublin GAA demonstrates this.

Speaking on this exciting step for Go-Ahead Ireland, Managing Director Andy Edwards said:

“As a leading provider of public transport throughout Dublin, Go-Ahead Ireland is rooted in the community and driven by community service values, making this a perfect partnership both for us and Dublin GAA. We’re delighted to be ‘on board’ for the next three years. The sponsorship is an extension of our long-term commitment to the communities we serve. It’s also very much in line with the community values of the GAA where we share a mutually held commitment that everything we do should help to enhance life and living in the communities we serve.”

Part of an international group and global transport provider that places great importance on local people running its local operations, it is only fitting that Dublin GAA becomes a focus for Go-Ahead. The partnership with Dublin GAA will enable Go-Ahead Ireland to further engage not only with their daily service users but also the broader communities who they serve across all routes.
