From Right Half Back To Freight Forward

A Q&A with Tommy Carr from PalletXpress

In a discussion held on the 15/12/20, Tommy Carr along with one of our Linkline representatives discussed topics ranging from Freight Forwarding to the need for organisations to adapt constructive teamwork.

Tommy Carr, as many of you might recall was a former intercounty Gaelic footballer for Dublin. He has also managed Dublin, Roscommon and Cavan. He was awarded an All Star in 1991 in the same year that he won a National Football League medal with Dublin. He won his second league medal with Dublin in 1993.

Moving away from his sporting accolades, Tommy is now the Managing Director and founder of PalletXpress, one of Ireland’s leading freight forwarding companies.

Tommy, in today’s podcast spoke out how the company has has to deal with the emergence of Covid-19 and the unfolding Brexit scenario.

Moreover, the Dubliner also spoke about the importance of Human Resource Management, he even went as far to say that HR was one of the key focuses of the company. The company itself recently won two prestigious awards at the annual Irish Logistics and Transport Awards. PalletXPress was the overall winner in the 3PL Achievement Award and Logistics & Transport Team of the Year categories.

With growing uncertainty around the nature of freight forwarding and supply chain management logistics, Tommy’s input in today’s podcast comes as a breath of fresh air and makes for an undoubtedly enjoyable listen.
