Crane Worldwide Ireland Recognised in Logistics Shortlist for Achievement and Technology

Crane Worldwide Logistics in Ireland has been shortlisted in two categories at the Irish Logistics and Transportation Awards. The two categories include the ‘3PL Achievement Award’ and the ‘Innovation and Technology award.’

It has been a busy period for transport and logistics companies, which are categorised as essential, due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Minimising supply chain disruption for clients has been at the top of the agenda for Crane Worldwide. Working in partnership with clients to deliver ventilators to Irish hospitals was just one example of how the company has risen to the many logistics challenges created by the pandemic.

‘There is no downtime in logistics, it is important to keep our client’s operations running as smoothly as possible at this difficult time,’ comments Chris Deans, Managing Director Ireland. ‘The nomination for the Irish Logistics and Transportation Awards is a welcome boost to a hard-working and dedicated team in Ireland who have been on the front line during the pandemic,’ he adds.

Logistics challenges continue for manufacturers in Ireland, with the Brexit transitional period coming to an end in December. Crane Worldwide is working in partnership with clients to reduce any impact a no-deal
scenario may create; three customs bonded warehouses were recently announced in Shannon, Cork, and Dublin that can support Irish exporters with duty cost savings.

Today, the company has also released an online Brexit portal hosting the latest Brexit information available that may impact logistics operations.

‘Our goal is to be an extension of our client’s operations and key advisors to support their international operations,’ comments Jason Stretton, Regional Vice President EMEA who is also based in Ireland. ‘To keep clients informed on the regulatory landscape ahead, we are offering online support and trade advisory services,’ he adds.

Celebrating twelve years of operations in August, the two award categories reflect the company’s dedication to their core value of delivering the most user centric technology for supply chain visibility, and service that exceeds expectations from their highly skilled and diverse team.
